The Halcyon MC System lends itself to all types of diving by simply varying the type of wing, and weighting system. Eclipse wing systems are designed to maximize single tank efficiency, the Evolve and Explorer wings are designed specifically for double tank applications.
Irrespective of environment, shallow tropical reef, coldwater or kelp, deep ocean shipwreck or far inside a cave, being comfortable with one’s equipment and enjoying the dive is always a primary objective. Ease of buoyancy control, streamlining, perfect fit, and ease of operation and storage of accessories are all attributes that Halcyons MC Compensators perfectly address.
Eclipse, Evolve and Explorer wings are available in a range of lift capacities, either Aluminium or Stainless Steel backplates, plus ACB system weight pockets address proper weighting issues, and the secure fit of a harness coupled with the streamlined profile of the wings give stability and freedom of movement in the water second to none. Critical safety equipment, such as Surface Marker Buoys, and primary or back up light systems, stow cleanly and unobtrusively on the harness.

Halcyon Lighting Systems

Halcyon offers a primary light for every dive. The Explorer line is the latest evolution of our exploration-grade primary lighting – a product of more than eight years of continuous development. Robust canisters rated to 150m house Nimh battery packs capable of delivering burn times ranging from 2-12 hours. HID lightheads, of 10W or 18W with Halcyons Ultra Bright reflectors provide the highest quality, flicker free beams.
Additionally, for underwater videography applications, Halcyon produce the Apollo 200W HMI studio lights, or 50W HID’s. For reserve lighting there is the tried and trusted Scout range, of simple, rugged lights, powered by two or three C-cells driving Xenon, or high quality LED bulbs. As with all of Halcyons products, the family of lights is proven under exploration conditions – where a durable light is more than just a luxury – it is life support equipment.

Halcyon Lift Devices and Surface Markers

Halcyon produce a range of four sizes of either orange or yellow Surface Markers, all folding small enough to be stored in an MC pack or thigh pocket, but of rugged construction, bright and visible enough for their role in diver location. Typically inflated from depth, or at surface, to allow divers to be located, these Dive Alert Markers can also be used as redundant flotation at the surface if needed.
Halcyon also manufacture both surf shuttles and a stowable Divers Life Raft for serious Ocean diving, and three styles and capacities of lift bags, suitable not only for salvage, but for surface flotation and diver location alike.

Halcyon Guidelines

Simple, elegant and effective in use, Halcyons range of Defender spools and Pathfinder reels, like so many pieces of equipment in recreational diving today, have their origins in the unforgiving environment of the cave diver. For dives requiring less than about 45m of line, such as simple deployment of a surface marker, the jam-free deployment that a spool offers is the ideal. Milled from Delrin, almost impossible to break, these spools come in 22m, 30m and 45m sizes plus a 30m Coldwater version much easier to use with gloves.
Pathfinder reels range from 120-360m of line and cater to more advanced forms of penetration dive. Designed to minimize the chance of jamming, and to switch easily from left to right hand while manipulating other equipment such as lights, these reels have set new standards in the field of durability and utility. 

  

Halcyon Drysuit Accessories

Halcyon’s founders have been diving dry for decades in the Florida Cave systems and offshore. Affiliated groups from the harsh cold waters of Alaska and Scandinavia also rely on Halcyons accessories to support them, from inflation system mounting kits, through Overboard Discharge ( “P-Valve” ) systems, Gator Wraps, Spring Straps and Pockets.
Surprising to some, tropical divers from Mexico to South East Asia are increasingly using dry suits, particularly the technical divers where the length of the dive becomes a deciding factor. Halcyon Valves and Gauges

Halcyon’s valves and manifolds are available in 200 and 300 bar versions and with both North American imperial threads or European M25 metric sizes. All are DIN, with yoke inserts available for 200 bar versions.
Two types of SPG, a classic brass gauge with tempered glass lens and clear, easy to read face is the standard, whilst a smaller, lighter version more suited to stage or decompression regulators is also available.
