Silver Seas and Dive Training

As people for whom diving is a passion, when we introduce others to the underwater world, we do our utmost to see that they enjoy their experiences every bit as much as we do ourselves – and keep diving for life!

We know that several things have to come together to make diving an unforgettable thrill. An enthusiastic, capable instructor with a genuine desire for his or her students to succeed is a must. That instructor will realize that the fun really begins when a student is comfortable in the water, and happy with the basic skills they need for the level of dive they are making. The contribution of equipment is way too often overlooked as a factor in being able to relax underwater. A new diver, or diver progressing to more advanced diving, deserves nothing but the best. Sloppy fit and inefficient gear will cause unnecessary stress, distraction, exertion, and conceivably, damage to the dive environment. All of this is so easy to avoid.

Silver Seas brings it all together. Skilled instructors with a pride in what they do, presenting solid training programs, and adding a depth of personal experience that allows students to walk away knowing they’re ready for the underwater world. Our understanding of quality, well thought out, equipment and how it complements both recreational and technical diving, is the final step in getting everything right for our divers.

Our premier recreational course, GUE’s DIR Fundamentals program, offers you a unique approach in helping you enjoy the aquatic world. Functioning as a prerequisite for all other GUE classes, save its recreational diver course (forthcoming), DIR Fundamentals performs a three-fold function within the GUE curriculum: 1) it provides the recreational diver, in whom there is no desire for further diver training, with a context in which to advance his/her basic diving skills, thereby developing more comfort, confidence, and competence in the water; and 2) it provides the diver with aspirations of more advanced diver training with the tools that will contribute to a greater likelihood of success; and 3) it provides non-GUE trained divers with a gateway into GUE training.    Learn more...

All of us involved would tend to agree that Technical Diving has produced some of the most outstanding diving experiences of our lives. To safely share those experiences with divers who are interested and ready is our goal.

The range of courses we can arrange spans from an aspiring Technical Divers first steps in programs like IANTD’s Advanced Recreational Trimix course, through to full Trimix Diver, covering procedures and skill sets for dives as deep as 90m or more. At any point in a divers progression through the open water technical courses, branches into other areas, such as Technical Wreck, Gas Blending, DPV diving and even Instructor training can be made. The range of dives to experience is endless.

Beyond the input you receive during training you will find we are still very much available for consultation and advice afterwards. Any questions you have, anything you forget once back on home ground, anything done differently that you want to take issue with, we are just an email away. Consider your training to be ongoing, we want to see you equipped with the abilities to get every bit as much out of your investment in Tech Dive training as we have in our own over the years.

There were so many nice people in the "low season" month of September that we need to mention at least a few. You know what? You will be back sooner that you think! But I guess there are worse things in life than coming here for diving & Karaoke right?!
